Straight answers about how TaskIt behaves — no marketing padding.

Product basics

TaskIt is a multi-tenant task management and workflow platform. Each company gets an isolated workspace with its own users, departments, roles, task forms and data, reached at its own workspace path.

Teams whose work is delegated, handed over and reviewed rather than simply ticked off — where it matters who held a task, what they completed, what they left pending and when it changed hands.

No. TaskIt runs in a web browser — there is no desktop or mobile app to install. Your workspace has its own address on the app domain, and the interface is built to be usable on a phone browser as well as a desktop one.

Yes. Every record is scoped to a company, and requests are authorised against the signed-in user’s company before any data is read or written.

Tasks and handovers

It keeps the same task ID and code. A separate history row records the previous assignee, the next assignee, work completed, work pending, notes, progress and a timestamp. The task is never duplicated.

Yes, in Collaborative mode on a department task. Each member logs their own progress, and the task’s overall progress is the average across active collaborators.

They mark it Unable to Complete with a reason, chosen from predefined options or written themselves. The task becomes blocked, the reason is recorded in history and the audit log, and a manager can reassign, resume, reopen or cancel it.

Yes. The task workspace offers a board grouped into status columns, a table and a card grid; the table is the default and each person picks their own view. All three read the same filters — status, priority, department, assignment type and team member — and the board paginates every status column separately so one busy column cannot bury the others.

The task’s creator, or anyone holding the review permission. A creator who is also the current assignee is excluded, so nobody reviews their own submission. Tasks awaiting review can be selected in the table and approved or rejected together — up to 200 in one request — with each task reported back individually as reviewed, skipped or failed rather than the batch succeeding or failing as a whole.

Yes, by the task’s creator or a manager with the right permission. The rename is recorded in the audit log and the task timeline, and nothing else about the task changes. Completed and cancelled tasks are locked.

Automation and notifications

Yes. Schedules support daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and custom intervals in a chosen time zone, with occurrence previews and pause, resume, skip, duplicate and cancel controls. Cancelling a schedule does not delete tasks it already created.

Each workspace pairs its own WhatsApp number through a self-hosted gateway. Task creation, handover and completion notifications can each be switched on or off and delivered to the assignee, a linked group, or both, using customisable templates.

Yes. Daily, weekly and monthly reports can be scheduled at a chosen time in your workspace’s time zone, with a customisable template, live preview, test send and delivery history. Failed sends retry automatically.

Access and accountability

There are Admin, Manager and Employee base roles, plus custom roles built from individual permission keys. A role’s access comes from the permissions configured on it — a base role is only a starting template and grants nothing implicitly.

Yes. Recorded workspace actions are written to an immutable audit log showing the action, acting user, target and time. Where before and after snapshots exist, the changed fields are shown as old → new. Viewing it requires an explicit permission.

Task, people, workflow, collaboration and recurring reports, exportable to CSV, Excel and PDF, plus performance analytics computing average time to accept, start, complete and turn around from stored task timestamps.

Trial and billing

30 days from when the workspace is created. Billing begins only after it ends.

There is no plan fee. You pay ₹45 per active team member per month, billed for the length of the term you choose — Starter monthly, Growth every six months, Business once a year. So 10 people on Growth is 10 × ₹45 × 6 = ₹2,700 before GST. Optional modules are added to the same invoice. GST is added on top.

It updates by itself. The employee count always reflects the people who are active right now, so adding, deactivating or removing someone is reflected in your next invoice without anyone having to adjust a setting. Your subscription page shows the current headcount and what the next invoice comes to.

Your tasks, comments, activity history, audit logs and reports are never deleted for non-payment. The only thing any cleanup ever removes is stored files: a workspace whose access has ended and that has never paid an invoice gets a further 15 days before its Media Library is switched off and its uploaded files are deleted. A customer who has paid before never has files removed by that rule.

It is free for the whole 30-day trial. After that it is an optional add-on at ₹499 per month. If you do not subscribe to it, the WhatsApp notifications, reports, templates and device pairing are simply not shown — and if you add it later, everything switches back on immediately with nothing to set up again.
